Prayers

As you pray alongside our Church Planting ministry, we ask for specific prayers in these ways:

Congregations who seek to become more intentional supporters in our Church Planting vision
Churches who will step into the parenting role, or churches who can walk alongside parenting congregations to fulfill the other roles in the family system
Specific locations where our next church plant will be birthed:
- Winterville/Greenville
- Clayton/Smithfield
- Wilmington/Cape Fear
- Fayetteville
That God would inspire current and future leaders with a call towards being a church plant leader

As your pray alongside our Renewal ministry, we ask for specific prayers in these ways

Congregations to become sensitive to God’s spirit, which calls them to ask, “How can we be useful for the Kingdom of God today?”
Skilled leaders who, with training, can step into our OFWB congregations and work to coach, guide, and lead churches in a renewal process
Ongoing support for our renewal partner, the North Carolina Baptist Convention, whose skills and wisdom help to guide us in this work

Our Director, Rev. Dr. Bannister, would love to meet with your congregation – as a whole, or in part(s) – to listen to how God might be speaking and leading you towards these works. Rev. Dr. Bannister is available two Sunday mornings a month, as well as Sunday evenings and throughout the week (day or evening time).

Through your ongoing provision, our Church Planting and Renewal ministry can continue to offer services and support to our OFWB churches and conferences.

As a ministry of the Convention of Original Free Will Baptists, the months of April and September are set aside for Church Planting and Renewal. However, through the year-round support of congregations, individuals, auxiliaries, and conferences, we continue to do the work tasked to us by the Convention, for the sake of the Kingdom!
