Come and See

About

Since 2019, Church Planting and Renewal has sought to walk
alongside, and in support of Original Free Will Baptist congregations, ministries, and leaders, who are seeking first the Kingdom of God. As a result of this work, we continue to see growth, and feel the impact of God’s presence in our
denominational spaces.

Kingdom Work

Together, through collaborative partnerships within and beyond Original Free Will Baptist ministries, conferences, congregations, and leaders, we can see God’s will done on earth as it is in Heaven!

By partnering with our Original Free Will Baptist congregations, leaders, and ministries, CPR aims to provide guidance, resources, and evaluation of the following initiatives:

church planting

Church planting, or the act and actions that surround the establishment of new, healthy congregations, is part of both a biblical and historical framework for Kingdom growth! By partnering with congregations, conferences, and ministries in the pursuit of this work, we anticipate future Kingdom growth for Original Free Will Baptists here in eastern North Carolina!

church renewal

In the Gospel of Matthew, as Jesus prepares to leave his disciples and return to the Father, he commissions them to Go until all the world and makes disciples. This imperative, known as the Great Commission, is still the impetus of the Church’s work today. However, the way we go about fulfilling this Commission in our present congregational spaces may need to be reexamined. Thus, our goal of congregational renewal through the CPR ministry!

ending well

The story of our Christian faith is a story of life, death, and rebirth. Death, the second of these elements, is rarely welcomed or without pain. However, it is one that is built upon the promise that Jesus proclaims, the Apostles write of, and the churches confesses is not
the last voice.

At CPR, we realize some congregational spaces find themselves at such a last hour, but they need not allow it to be without meaning, hope, or the possibility of new opportunities for the Kingdom of God!
